At the core of any modern Physical Security Information Management system is the need to store central data resources. This will include mapping, 3D spatial models of sites and buildings, databases of cameras and sensor types and asset geolocations and so on.

Keeping all this data orderly and secure within 2020 TUCHcontrol systems is our Intellifile file & database server. The Intellfile provides secure fileserver and SQL database functions to all the member modules of the family.

Like all the other elements of the 2020 system, the Intellifile is delivered as a rugged, turn-key, embedded 4U rackmount module. Intellifle modules are fully self-contained and 100% self-managing: no PCs, installation or software setup is required - each module is ready to plug-in and run right out of the box.

Hard disc storage on the modules is mirrored for safety and automated backup to removable media is easy to organise. Multiple modules can allow seamless system resource continuity even in the case of multiple hard drive failure.

Uniquely, 2020's "autoconfigure" facility backs up a copy of the core configuration of every single module in the system all the time, on to Intellifile. This allows lightning-fast field-servicing, even by near-untrained personnel. New modules can be plugged into the system with only one parameter set: their ID number. The intelligent module is able to identify itself to Intellifile and restore identical operating configuration to the module it has replaced, entirely by itself and automatically. This allows field service support to be fully covered without the need to detail-train field staff on every aspect of configuration.
