Nigel Barrington
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Nigel is a successful and extensively experienced entrepreneur with a track record in creating and managing profitable ventures in both the UK and overseas. During his wide-ranging career, Nigel has managed many UN protocol programmes and barter arrangements on behalf of major clearing banks.
Alongside David Hollick, Nigel formed 2020 Imaging in 2000 and has steered the business to its current position as a leader in the field of video analytics and integrated PSIM solutions.
Nigel graduated from the University of Aberystwyth and completed his Master's degree at St John's College Cambridge.
David Hollick
Technical Director
David has worked closely with Nigel Barrington since forming 2020 Imaging in 2000 and was responsible for initiating the company's partnership with Sussex University and jointly developing the underlying core technology. His diverse career has been primarily in the field of specialist software development and has embraced a number of senior technical, marketing and financial roles.
David is a graduate of the University of London.
Keith Ryde
Director & Security Consultant
Keith is an experienced manager and operator in both the public and private defense sectors and has skills and profound experience in security management, executive protection, key point security and general security consultancy at the very highest levels. He has managed the technological security requirements of a number of prominent organisations and has a thorough understanding of the security technology market.
Keith is a graduate of the Mons Officer Cadet School and has worked and lived in the UK, Middle East and South America.
Professor Chris Chatwyn
Senior Technical Consultant
Chris is very widely qualified and published and is presently the Chair of Industrial Informatics and Manufacturing Systems at the University of Sussex and also Research Director of the South East Advanced Technology Hub and IIMS Research Centre. His current research activities include image processing applications applied to recognition using high speed spatial light modulators and digital/optical information processing for car number plates and banknote recognition.
Chris graduated from the University of Aston and completed his Master's and Doctorate at Birmingham University. He has also held the position of Reader at the University of Glasgow.
Dr Gary Jones
Technical Consultant
Gary is an expert in electronics systems and computing with experience of product design, manufacture and product certification.
Working for ten years in the electronics design consultancy business, Gary has been involved in the design of a variety of products for customers in markets/applications such as consumer electronics, industrial process automation, security & CCTV, safety critical, and automotive. In addition to hardware and software design and implementation he was responsible for project management, customer liaison, certification and production engineering.
Gary obtained his DPhil from the Sussex University School of Electronics and Engineering with a thesis on the ‘Design of a Novel Microprocessor for Wire Speed Processing of ATM Cells'. The work included microprocessor architectural design, instruction set architectures and principles of high speed communications. Prior to that he was awarded a First Class honours degree in Electronics and a Masters degree in Engineering Management, both from the University of Brighton.
